Bender / Restore Profile Manager

Hey guys!

Just practicing some OSX server restores with OD, File Sharing, Certificates and Profile Manager.

I run a 3 way backups strategy:

1. Time Machine Backups -> Restore was working fine

2. Carbon Copy Cloner -> Did not tried a restore yet

3. Bender (maybe you guys have heared about it)

And with Bender I have a small problem:

Manual says for restore:

sudo serveradmin settings < /path/to/your-sa_backup-allservices.backup

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), Server 3.1.1

As I recall the original version of Bender could not backup and hence allow restoring Profile Manager because Profile Manager uses PostgreSQL database. The Wiki server also uses a PostgreSQL database so maybe the same applied there. However the current version of Bender does now back these up.

If you scroll down instructions on how to restore Profile Manager are listed. Obviously this relies on you having used a version that did backup Profile Manager.
